LUXE.TV, the first channel entirely dedicated to the world of luxury, called on GlobeCast for its launch on Sky in the United Kingdom. Produced and distributed in HD, LUXE.TV’s signal will be uplinked to Sky’s bouquet on Eurobird.

GlobeCast receives LUXE.TV’s HD feed at its London/Brookmans Park teleport where it is re-encoded for uplink to Sky’s bouquet on the Eurobird satellite. The optimised signal allows subscribers to receive the channel in MPEG 4 and with Dolby Surround 5.1. To maximise LUXE.TV’s potential viewing audience, GlobeCast is also duplicating the feed and converting it into SD.

With production crews present in 17 cities around the world, LUXE.TV provides high-end coverage of luxury industry in all its diversity. Short documentary-style programs are exclusively shot in High Definition. Broadcasting in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Russian, LUXE.TV has a direct access to more than 380 million viewers throughout Europe, Middle East and North Africa.

GlobeCast is renowned for its content management and distribution services around the world. LUXE.TV is joining more than 100 TV channels and eleven radio channels GlobeCast hosts on Sky’s Eurobird platform such as France 24, Abu Dhabi TV, and Russia Today.
