Singapore will host the 1st Youth Olympic Games from August 14 – 26, 2010. This multi-sport event is planned to take place every four years and will bring together outstanding young athletes from all over the world. The Games in Singapore will be featuring 26 sports and culture & education programmes. Participants will include 5,000 young athletes between 14 and 18 years of age, sports officials and 1,200 media representatives.
