GlobeCast Asia provided and distributed services for ESPN Star Sports for the Nokia Champions League Twenty20 event, which took place in India from 23rd September to 9th October. Qualifier matches took place in Hyderabad and the main event took place in Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.

GlobeCast provided both the World Feed and ESS Unilateral feed in HD, with each feed using an Mpeg-4, 18 Mhz transmission on AsiaSat5. Working together with local providers, GlobeCast supplied and installed nine 3.8 m fixed antennas at the stadiums, and seven HD Mpeg-4 compression kits were put in place.

GlobeCast has an excellent reputation in cricket broadcasting and has been contracted to provide services at most international cricketing events over the past 5 years, including the 20/20 Cricket World Cups in South Africa, West Indies and south Asia.
