GlobeCast was proud to be on site during the Rugby World Cup from September 9th to October 23rd, providing technical facilities and support to a number of international broadcasters for their coverage of the 2011 edition of this event.

Supported by GlobeCast Australia, the leading supplier of broadcast services in the region, GlobeCast provided a variety of services to its global customers.

Facilities include HD SNG’s supplied and manned by GlobeCast Australia with onsite technical support and distribution of live and recorded content via satellite and fiber; playouts from local broadcasters around New Zealand utilising GlobeCast’s Backbone Network as an exclusive end to end solution for Sky Italia.

In addition, to supplement local facilities in Australia, GlobeCast shipped an SNG and team of 4 crews from GlobeCast France for the exclusive use of French broadcaster.
