The 2011 edition of Sportel Monaco was held between 10th and 13th October at the Grimaldi Forum. This year’s event was a definite success, with more than 2,000 visitors, an increase of 10% - the highest yearly increase in 10 years.

GlobeCast’s staff from around the world were pleased to participate in this exceptional event and to present to broadcasters their playout and distribution solutions for international sporting events, not to mention to promote the events that GlobeCast will cover in 2012.

GlobeCast’s sporting event calendar for 2012 includes: the Dakar Rally, the 2012 Africa Cup, Roland Garros, Euro 2012, the London Olympics, and French League 1 football. GlobeCast will provide services to rights holders and non-rights holders that include international distribution and content management across multiple platforms.

For the first time at Sportel, GlobeCast demonstrated its Multi-Screen solution, which seemed to be of particular interest to booth visitors. This Solution allows rights holders and non-rights holders to operate an application of their channels on several devices; for example smartphones (iPhone, Android) and tablets (iPad).

GlobeCast’s next Sportel will be in March 2012 in Rio de Janeiro.
