Job Overview:

As the Operational Delivery Manager, you will be instrumental in proposing, implementing, optimizing, and scaling our round-the-clock broadcast operations and support services. Using DevOps and Agile methodologies, you will ensure that our operations are efficient, reliable, and able to meet the growing demands of our business. Your role will require a deep understanding of broadcast operations, team management, and continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the proposal and launch of 24×7 broadcast operations and support services to meet customers’ needs, ensuring high levels of performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
2. In collaboration with global operational centres build, develop, and manage high-performing, highly-automated, scalable and sustainable operational & support processes, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and customer focus using DevOps and Agile methodologies
3. Working across multiple proposals, thoroughly understand customers’ needs and goals by analysing requests and orchestrating discussions with stakeholders and obtaining a clear picture of the operational scope and service level including expected performance, scalability and reliability.
4. Document requirements, deliverables, processes, and other operational details for each project. Define Metrics, SLAs and KPI’s and processes to track them. Identify any potential challenges or key issues that need to be addressed in customer proposals.
5. Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, technologies, and practices to keep our operations at the forefront of the broadcasting field.
6. Ensure all operations adhere to industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in operational management, preferably within the broadcast industry.
2. Demonstrated expertise in managing vendor relationships with an emphasis on utilising vendor expertise to successfully complete projects.
3. Good understanding of broadcast solutions; playout, encoding, transmission, and distribution solutions, as well as non-linear broadcast services.
4. Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
5. Excellent organisational, planning, and project management skills with the capacity to oversee many projects concurrently in a time-constrained setting.
6. Effective interpersonal and communication abilities that enable collaboration with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
7. Knowledge of common tools and processes for project management, such as Agile

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Engineering, IT, Media Technology, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
2. Knowledge of virtualized and cloud-based broadcast solutions.
3. Knowledge of broadcast technologies and systems, including MPEG, DVB, ATSC, SDI, IP, ASI, ABR, HLS, and DASH.
4. Certification in project management (such as PMP or PRINCE2).
