Independent, standards-based evaluation and validation set teleport operators apart and assure customers that they will receive the performance and reliability they expect.”

About Teleport Certification

WTA Certification is available at four levels, from Tier 4 (top) to Tier 1 (bottom). The standards were developed by a volunteer committee of teleport, satellite, and technology executives, as well as end-user representatives. They cover facilities, technical infrastructure, and operating procedures, including business continuity, transmission chains, terrestrial connectivity, safety, physical and information security, capacity management, configurations, and process changes. As of 2025, more than 60 teleports worldwide, including those operated by Telstra, Singtel, SES (Intelsat), Eutelsat, Nilesat, Etisalat, Speedcast, Arqiva, Hispasat, Telespazio, COMSAT, and KT Sat, have achieved WTA certification.
